The incumbent vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has declared his interest in the 2023 presidential election.
In a broadcast on Monday, Osinbajo said that he had visited practically all the local government areas in the country and knows the yearnings of Nigerians.
He said, “I believe that the very reason that the Almighty God gave me these experiences, these insights and these opportunities is that they must be put to the use of our great country and its great peoples.
“Which is why today, with the utmost humility, I’m formally declaring my intention to run for the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.”
Professor Yemi Osinbajo will be up against Bola Tinubu who has also declared his intention to contest the 2023 presidential race in All Progressive Congress.
