The Public Relations Officer of the Students Union Government in the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Comrade Olayinka Taiwo, has asked if there is any internal memorandum backing up the submission of files with tax clearance from the management following the united responses coming from different faculties in the institution that students should attached their parent’s tax clearance with their files; and it must carry the emblem of Osun State.
Taiwo said, “normally if anything like that would occur, there should be a memo that would announced it and back it up.
“Was there any memo that back it up?” Having answered by our correspondent that there is none but there are actions both taken orally and visually by the Faculties officers that students must submit their academic files with tax clearance. Even, Faculty of Information and Communications, Technology (FICT) has it written on placards pasted on its walls that students must come with their parent’s tax clearance in order to submit their files.
Taiwo said, “since there is no memo that back it up. We are working on it to get it resolved soon.”
However all attempt to get Dr Woye Olaniran, the rector of the institution speak on this, proven abortive as he doesn’t answer our correspondent calls.
Likewise, Comrade Ajao Samson (Impeccable), who promised tax clearance would be eradicated once more as part of the criteria for submission of files, attempt to get him speak on tax clearance also proven abortive as he told our correspondent, he is busy that he would meet our correspondent later in the day at the Students’ Union Building.
