While Spotify listeners are waiting for their 2025 Spotify Wrapped, others are looking ahead and are wondering when their listening data counts for next year.
Spotify hasn’t shared an exact release date yet, but Wrapped typically arrives around this time each year, making it likely it will drop this week.
According to Forbes, Spotify will begin tracking users’ listening data at the beginning of January.

Spotify tracks stats after October
Spotify stopped tracking users’ listening habits on Oct. 31 of each year, according to Newsweek, meaning that listeners who played their favourite artists and songs would not have that listening data counted for the year.
However, in 2024, the streaming service posted that it doesn’t stop counting listener data on Oct. 31.
