RCCG Holds Thanksgiving Service as Prince Olaoye, Sòún of Ogbomoso-designate Departs US

The Soun-elect of Ogbomoso land Prince Afolabi Ghandi-Olaoye is set to return to Nigeria from his United States of America base.

 

This is coming after the PIJAlance reports that Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde approved the appointment of a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Ghandi-Olaoye, as the new Soun of Ogbomoso.

 

Recalled that the stool of the Soun of Ogbomoso became vacant after the passing on of the former monarch in December 2021 at the age of 95 years. This was after he had reigned for 48 years.

 

It is barely two years since the demise of the former king that the appointment of Prince Ghandi-Olaoye was approved as the new monarch of Ogbomoso.

 

In celebrating the monarch’s new phase, a thanksgiving and transition service was held in honour of Prince Ghandi-Olaoye who doubled as a at the RCCG Jesus House Parish, Washington DC.

 

He was joined by his wife, Pastor Omo Ghandi-Olaoye.

 

The Nation reports that RCCG Jesus House Parish which Prince Olaoye presides over, is one of the biggest RCCG Churches in America. He has been the Pastor of the church since inception.

 

Pastor Olumide Ogunjuyigbe has been anointed as the next head of the church.

 

The church in a post on its verified Instagram page – @jesushousedc said: “Today, Pastor Ghandi passed on the baton of leadership to Pastor Olumide! Congrats on this new journey Pastor Olumide! We know that eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man what God will do through you! As God was with Pastor Ghandi, so shall He be with you.

 

“Thank you so much Pastor G for your excellent leadership over the years! As you transition into this next phase of your illustrious life, we celebrate you, we congratulate you! We pray that your life will go from glory to glory, from strength to strength. We promise to continue in the great legacy you have left behind. Amen.”
