The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 11 Command Osogbo, comprising of Oyo State and Osun State Commands, AIG Mukan Joseph Gobum, has Joined both Civilians and Police Christians to hand over command under his watch to God.
He prayed for peace, progress and divine security in Nigeria, at the gathering of Christian Police Fellowship of Nigeria, held in All Saints Protestant Chapel, Zone 11 Command Headquarters Osogbo.
Addressing the gathering from the Psalms of David 127:1’Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that builds it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchmen waketh [but] in vain.’ we don’t want to wake in vain so we pray to God to come and crown our efforts, so that Zone 11 will continue to be the most peaceful zone in the whole country.
He advised officers and men present to shun evil, embrace righteousness that exhaust the nation since everyone of us will give account of our stewardship if not in this world but in the life thereafter.
While delivering his sermon at the prayer meeting, from Romans 8:19, The Apostolic Church Osogbo Area Superintendent Pastor I. G. Awotanmi said officers should pray for Grace to stand out among their mate because the whole creation (world) is earnestly waiting for the manifestations of the sons of God.
