Ospoly: NAMACOS Lawmakers Suspend Gen Sec

The legislative arm of the National Association of Mass Communication Students, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree has suspended its General Secretary, Hon. Oladosu Damilare for guilty of several offences.

 

In a release signed by the body’s speaker, Honourable Adekunle Tahirat, and made available today to PIJAONLINE, Damilare is found guilty of charges Class Representative Council (CRC) put against him.

 

According to the release, “To the General Secretary of NAMACOS Hon. Oladosu I. Damilare. The Class Representative Council (CRC), found you guilty of the below charges after a trial held on 16th of August, 2021

“1. Failure to provide attendance and record of Executive meeting as stipulated in the NAMACOS constitution Article 9 Section 3.

 

“2. Misplacement of the department confidential record book without informing any Executive

 

“3. Acclaimed of not knowing your duties as the General Secretary of the department

 

“4. Showing nonchalant attitude toward the CRC during the trial

 

“5. Failure to call a general meeting between student union executive (SUE) and Class representative council (CRC) as stated in Article 10 section 1 of NAMACOS constitution.

 

“In view of this, you are hereby issued a fifteen (15) working days suspension effective from 20th of August to 10th of September, 2021.

 

 

“You are order to submit all NAMACOS document in your care to the CRC clerk office within 24hours and on your resumption day you are order to provide the misplaced record book and a copy of an apology letter to the Mass Communication students who entrusted you represent them.”
