The president of the National Association of Osun State Students, Com. Faniran Solomon has recently debunked the suspension of the financial secretary, Akinloye Damilola and deputy clerk, Abidoye Abidemi of the association whose suspension were formerly known through a memo today.
The president, in a memo released after the memo of the suspension was released declared that it’s not with his discretion and such activity shouldn’t be enforced until his arrival.
The memo reads, “according to section 8, Article 3, subsection (F) of the NAOSS constitution, the financial Secretary should submit the account of all money for auditing at the end of the tenure.
“It’s hereby arguably wrong to audit at the middle of the administration which brings about bad reputation to the NAOSS.”
Recalled that on June 28, 2021, the student representative Council of the association has earlier issued out a memo to suspend Onifade sakiru Abidemi whose offence was summarily captured as inability to discharge his duty in accordance with the association constitution.
His offence were: failure to take proper record of the house proceeding in the absential of the Clerk who was on SIWES
Failure to hand over house records to appropriate office
Also, another memo was issued out to reiterate and validate the suspension, adding Com. Akinloye Damilola who was accused of his ineptitude in handling his office and his inability to present statement of account and appear at the house sitting. As such, he was suspended, alongside, the clerk.
However, today the NAOSS President, Faniran Solomon has debunked the suspension detailing that it’s not formally done.
Hands are crossed as the association members await the next in action.
