The Nigeria Media Innovation Program (NAMIP) has announced the launch of applications for its Media Business Bootcamp, a five-day intensive program designed to support and equip media entrepreneurs with the skills and strategies needed to build sustainable media businesses.
The bootcamp will bring together founders and key decision-makers from emerging and existing media organizations to refine their business models, explore innovative revenue strategies, and enhance their audience engagement approaches.
According to the organisers in a press release exclusively made available to PIJAlance, participants will gain a vantage of experience in: a global perspective on the future of media products and ecosystems; Hands-on training in business development, revenue generation, and audience engagement; expert-led sessions on organisational management, legal structures, branding, and fundraising; a unique opportunity to pitch their media product ideas and receive valuable feedback and access to a community of like-minded media entrepreneurs and potential investors
The key dates in the application process are as follow:
Application Launch: March 11, 2025 – Applications open via the program website and partner platforms.
Application Deadline: March 31, 2025 – All submissions must be completed by this date.
Initial Screening & Shortlisting: April 1 – April 15, 2025 – Evaluation based on clarity, feasibility, and alignment with bootcamp goals.
Interviews / Clarification Sessions: April 15 – April 30, 2025 – Selected candidates may be contacted for brief discussions.
Final Selection & Notification: May 11, 2025 – Successful applicants will be informed.
Pre-Bootcamp Orientation & Materials Distribution: May 12 – May 18, 2025 – Preparatory materials and agenda will be shared.
Bootcamp Dates: May 19 – May 23, 2025 – The intensive program takes place.
