The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has taken a bold step in its quest to curb environmental infractions in the state.
In a decisive operation, the agency sealed nine establishments across Lagos, including businesses and religious organizations, for breaching environmental regulations.
The affected areas include Mushin, Amuwo Odofin, and Okota Isolo, where the establishments were found to have committed infractions ranging from noise pollution to the improper siting of hazardous facilities. These violations pose significant risks to public health and community welfare.
Among the establishments sealed are Daily Bakery, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Gak Universal Allied Limited, Ideal Standard, Franjane Royal Suites, Golden Haven Resort & Suites, Festival Hotel Conference Center & SPA, FS Service Centre, and Moulin Rouge Ventures at Olivia Mall.
These facilities were shut down for failing to comply with LASEPA’s environmental standards despite prior warnings.
LASEPA’s General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, emphasized the agency’s zero-tolerance policy for activities that harm the environment and public health. “Environmental protection is a shared responsibility.

Noise pollution and other violations have severe impacts on quality of life, and we will not hesitate to act decisively against offenders.” Dr. Ajayi stated.
He also underscored the importance of sustainable practices and urged businesses and individuals to adhere to environmental regulations.
He called on Lagos residents to assist in safeguarding the environment by reporting violations through LASEPA’s official channels.
