Just In: Kwara Govrt to shut down Yebumot Al-Hikmah Road
Kwara State Ministry of Works and Transport has said will temporarily close down the Yebumot Al-Hikmah Road from tomorrow, Wednesday 11th January, 2023
This was contained in a Communique passed across by the Press SEC, Kwara State Ministry of Works, SAM Bola Onile.
The communique explained that the closure is effective from 11:00am to allow for the commencement of the asphalt laying of the road.
The Ministry enjoins road users to make use of other routes for their journeys pending the completion of the asphalt laying.
The Ministry sincerely regrets the inconveniences this may bring to the residents and users of the road.
The communique furthered that:
“Our goal is to improve the city and make your travel experience better”
Kwara Gov mourns Chief Imam of Shao Sheikh Bamgbola
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the people of Shao over the death of the chief Imam of the community, Sheikh Habibullaah Muhammad Jamiu Bamgbola.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Governor said the death is a significant depletion in the ranks of Muslim scholars in the State and a minus to Shao as a community.
“We send our condolences to His Royal Highness the Ohoro of Shao and his chiefs, the Muslim community, and the immediate and extended families of the late scholar,” the statement said.
“We beseech Allah to admit the late Imam Bamgbola to al-jannah Firdaus and comfort the entire community and the Muslim ummah he left behind.”
