InstagoedTravels Refuses to Deliver Albanian Work Visa after Getting Paid ₦5.4m
Azeez Abimbola, heard of InstagoedTravels, a travel agency from an influencer. She was, at that time considering the next transition of her life so she decided to secure an Albanian Work Visa.
According to a seasoned on-air personality, Mustapha Iskil Gbolahan, popularly known as Arojinle, who posted the ordeals between Abimbola and InstagoedTravels agent, Abimbola did not get the work visa or a refund from InstagoedTravels.
In series of posts on his verified X handle, Mr Gbolahan posted that in the process of trying to secure the Work Visa, Abimbola chatted with Enare Bong, an agent of InstagoedTravels, who boldly wrote on her X bio as the builder of the travel agency.
Bong has since February, 2024, interacting with Abimbola and has promised InstagoedTravels will deliver at all cost.
Bong who told Abimbola that Albanian Work Visa cost €4,000 (as of then) assured that if InstagoedTravels could not deliver the services requested, a refund is assured.
Abimbola was asked to pay 60% upfront which was then ₦3 million. “Abimbola paid ₦2M in February and ₦1M in March, 2024,” respectively the post noted, attaching the receipts of the payments.
“By May, the lady (Abimbola) paid the remaining ₦2.4 million,” Arojinle said. “But nothing has shown since.”
The post partly quoted, “I’m going to start this thread with receipt of ₦5.4 million paid to Enare Bong @petitenare of @instaG0travels between February and May 2024 for Albanian Work Visa.
“I’m doing this for two reasons:
1. So that other people will not fall into this Venus flytrap
2. So that the lady, Abimbola Azeezat gets her money back.
In February, a travel influencer recommended @instaG0travels and Azeez Abimbola messaged them. @petitenare told her that Albanian work visa would cost her €4,000 but she would need to pay 60% upfront. 60% of it then was ₦3 million. She paid ₦2M in February and ₦1M in March as you can see in the receipt above. Meanwhile, Enare was asked if she would refund for services undelivered, as shown in the screenshot here. By May, the lady paid the remaining ₦2.4 million but nothing has shown since.
“Since then, it has been a cascade of disappointments and frustration. She either promises refund and defaults, or try to subtly enforce other types of difficult arrangements that doesn’t make sense on her.”
In another post, Mr Gbolahan said Abimbola works as a house girl in Iraq under harsh conditions before saving up to get the Albanian Work Visa. But said the lady has a bit silver of literacy, which was one of the weak points InstagoedTravels and Bong exploited.
“The lady doesn’t know better. She stopped at primary school. In fact, she was able to save all these money from working in Iraq under very harsh conditions, doing house chores daily. I think this is why they feel she can be easily cheated,” he posted.
After much pressure by Abimbola, Bong started advising Abimbola to consider another country. Bong also asked that she gets an Olympic Visa with the expiration of 20 days.
When Abimbola asked what she would do after the 20 days expiration, Bong said she can seek asylum.
“You can see Spain, Mauritius and digital nomad visa mentioned. She knows that this lady stopped at primary school, yet she’s suggesting “digital nomad”
“She’s asking the lady to take Olympic Visa when the Olympics was approaching. She sent it as a “view once” but the lady was smart enough to take a picture with another phone. When asked about what would happen after the visa expires (20 days), she said the lady can seek asylum. I don’t want to laugh.
“In the last line of slide 1, you can see the disappointment after she mentioned that they would be refunded by October ending/early November. It means this is not the first time she’s postponing the refund.
“From the series of unreasonable options she’s trying to force on Abimbola, it’s obvious she cannot deliver what she was paid for. Why isn’t she willing to refund. The lady even cried in her DM for her to refund even if it is 40% but she’s claiming her employer is with the money. Meanwhile, on her profile @drpaulenenche claims she owns @instaG0travels. Who is now the employer?”
PIJAlance contacted Enare Bong and InstagoedTravels via their social media channels, but received no response as of the time of filing this report.
