How to Access FCMB No-Collateral Clean Energy Loans
In what the bank’s executives, owners and business entities have described as “innovative and coming at the right time when the market needs alternative energy solutions mostly due to PMS price increase,” the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has recently launched a clean energy loan.
The clean energy loan is an alternative energy generating source as it seeks to alleviate the major issues with petrol and diesel by providing funding for energy which can power small businesses.
With the new innovation, the Nigerian households and small businesses looking to acquire solar panels, batteries, inverters, and other green energy equipment now have access to as much as N10 million to buy these assets through FCMB Energy Finance Loan.
The loan is designed to help homes and small businesses like hospitals, schools, restaurants, bars, stores, hotels, and fashion places keep life and work going by using clean energy.
Commenting on the Energy Loan product, the Managing Director of FCMB, Mrs. Yemisi Edun, described it as “another bold intervention by the lender to unlock the potential of the renewable and clean energy sector, provide relief to Nigerians, and encourage clean energy.”
The loan which is up to ₦3 million, has no collateral, can be paid within the maximum range of 12 months and only registered businesses with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) can be eligible.
If you don’t have an account with the FCMB, you will be advised to open one as the loan will only be disbursed to the registered and verified FCMB account holders. But the good news is the account will not be a regular account, it is rather a business account.
