Hijrah: Oyo, Osun, Kebbi declare Monday work free

The Oyo State Government has announced Tuesday, August 10, 2021 as a public holiday to commemorate the Islamic New Year – Hijrah 1443 AH.
According to a circular, Governor Seyi Makinde enjoined Muslims and people of other religions to use the holiday to pray for the peace, unity and growth of the state and the country.
Whilel, the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, declared August 9, 2021 as public holiday for workers in the state in commemoration of Hijrah 1443 AH.
The statement congratulated Muslims and non-Muslims in advance on the occasion of this year’s Hijrah.
Also, Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, has also declared August 9, 2021, as public holiday.
