A National Diploma (ND) 1 part-time student of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, Muraino Rokeeb has reportedly died after a ghastly motor accident.

According to information, Rokeeb, a student of Mass Communication Department, recently purchased the car he crashed on Monday, September 18, around Imperial Event Center, Opposite Summit University, Offa. He died in Ilorin where he’s transported to for medical treatment on Tuesday, September 19.

The Director of Students Affairs (DSA), Dr. Waheed Balogun confirmed the incident and added the accident might be a case of reckless driving.

He said, “it happened around the Imperial (Hotel) and they were being reckless, according to reports. He (the deceased) was sitting at back while his friend drove. Others were unhurt. Unfortunately we lost him (Muraino Rokeeb). May his soul rest in peace.

“His friend who drove the car was arrested and locked up before they secured his release on bail today. However, for the driver to have been arrested shows they were at fault,” he said.
