Four Steps to Monetise Your X/Twitter Account as Nigerian Earns N36 Million on Ad Revenue Sharing

Recently, X formerly known as Twitter has announced a reduction in its ad revenue sharing impression from 15M to 5M within three (3) months.

 

This comes at a time when content creators monetise their accounts to earn income from the ads served to reply to your post, Business Day Nigeria wrote.

 

Though, CEO Elon Musk, has said the payment of ad revenue share has started since nearly July, a Nigerian user identified as Logik #iamlogikk on Saturday celebrated receiving the payment of N36,858,567 from the app ads revenue sharing programme and established the authenticity of the initiative.

 

Logik shared screenshots of payment statistics on his X page, cptioning the post, he simply wrote, “36m… God bless Elon Musk.”

 

X launched its new payment plan in the United States of America in July and only recently extended this payment plan to verified global users with Twitter Blue subscribers.

 

Also, a few Nigerian content creators on the microblogging app, has begun to receive payment as well.

 

Bamidele who controls a whopping 102.5k followers was eligible to get N491k on the app but said he could only withdraw N245k at the time, The Punch Newspaper wrote.

 

This singular move from Musk has however, seen a drastic surge in users of the platform including returning, silent, and new users. Content creators can now create contents and earn while pursuing their dreams and satisfying their audiences.

How to apply for your own ad revenue share

 

According to X platform, there are basically four steps to be eligible for the ads revenue share. The platform noted that a user must be an X premium subscriber or verified organisation, account with up to 500 followers, tweet impression count exceeding 5 million per month over the past three months, and creators who meet the Creator Monetisation Standards through human evaluation.

 

However, to apply, following are the four basic steps to monetise your X account and earn through ad revenue share;

 

1. Visit the setting button on X’s app/web and click the Settings and Privacy icon.

2. Click on monetisation.

3. Click on X’s monetisation option ‘Ads revenue sharing’.

4.. Then check your eligibility to apply for the Twitter ad revenue share programme.
