Pamo University of Medical Sciences, Rivers State, has achieved a milestone by inducting five pioneering radiography graduates into the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).

This feat makes Pamo University the first in Rivers State and second in the South-South region, after the University of Calabar, to produce radiography graduates.

The induction ceremony, attended by notable figures including former Governor Dr. Peter Odili and Rivers State Commissioner of Health Dr. Adaeze Oreh, marked a significant step in addressing the region’s healthcare needs.

Dr. Odili praised the university’s impact, created over seven years, and announced automatic employment for the graduates. He emphasized the South-South region’s crucial contribution to Nigeria’s growth and development.

The graduates – Belema Favour Princewill, Nwanebu Favour Ikenna, Princess Chinenwo Nyemu, Tamunomiebi Luke Obie, and Zion Praise Chukwudi-James – received certificates and awards, including one for Best Graduating Student.

Rivers State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh, assured the graduates of immediate internship opportunities at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.

This achievement underscores Pamo University’s commitment to producing skilled medical professionals and contributing to the healthcare sector’s growth in Rivers State.
