My First Day At Osun State Polytechnic, Iree

I remember that bright morning of a day in late March 2016. I sauntered into the expansive compound of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Koko Campus, as a green fag new ND1 student of the famed institution. It is needless to ask if l was coming in wearing my newly bought blue long sleeve shirt on black trousers with a pair of shoes! Of course, that would be the passport cum visa for entering this school midwife into existence by the great management of the institution.

THAT was how my journey and lifelong romance with Osun State Polytechnic, Iree begin 6 years ago. Since then, this very eventful journey has opportune me to interact with unforgettable classmates, role models, influential seniors and great teachers who have made indelible impacts on my life. From being an inexperienced year one boy to being a final year student and President, Students’ Union Government under the Rectorship of Woye Olaniran PhD, l was schooled and nurtured in the arts and science of being a worthy student of Ospoly in learning and character.

I have also learned a great deal being a fresh alumnus of this alma matter, closely taking part in its activities, learning the ropes of how to be an effective participant in the Ospoly Alumni.

The connection has equally schooled me on the pros and cons of alumni relationships.

TALKING about administrative procedures and effective organisation of our alumni association, young Turks and elders have always provided the right guidance and leadership to me on how to deliver and make things happen.

WHILE I eventually come of age in matters appertaining to Ospoly, I have often enjoyed the energetic assistance and support from contemporary alumni foot soldiers.

AT present, l am delighted to declare that emerging younger blood alumni have mainly taken up the responsibility of uplifting our Alma Mater to higher heights.

AND so from 1992 to 2022 when dear Osun State Polytechnic, Iree clocks 30 years as a school of no mean repute, from reflections, I have interacted, learned, related and indeed become family members to these succeeding generations of Ospoly Alumni. In the course of this relationship, l have benefitted so much and indeed been lifted so loftily in my life journey! I, therefore, salute and pay homage and obeisance to all these seniors and contemporary alumni who have given me much speed and positively influenced my life so far.

THUS, importantly, as my beloved Osun State Polytechnic Iree, l owe her nothing but a whole lot of gratitude. I fervently and solemnly pray that may the Oak Tree of this great citadel of learning continue to grow strong while it continually produces more great men that would raise her name over and around all corners of the world by the lofty heights they attain!

Long Live Ospolites!

Long Live Ospoly!!

Excellence in Character and Technology!!!
