Breaking: Youths Storm Ibadan As one Amotekun operative killed lad

Intense protest by youths has heat up Mokola area in Ibadan as the Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed ‘Amotekun’ Ibadan branch allegedly shot to death a young lad who was sent on an errand.

 

Report has it that youths blocked some roads at Mokola area of the state capital with tyres burnt at every junctions.

 

According to a source the teenager, whose name could not be ascertained, at present, was allegedly killed by an operative of the Amotekun Corps.

 

Details of the death remains sketchy but sources said that the teenager, who until his death, was an apprentice at a printing shop. He was sent to buy food when he was killed.

 

 

“They blocked the UCH- Mokola Road for a few minutes before moving to the Oyo State Secretariat in Agodi, where they blocked the road preventing workers from entering the secretariat.

 

“Amotekun killed one boy that was going to buy food.

 

“He is a printer and they spent the night at their shop,” a source said.

 

However normalcy has returned to Mokola as of the time of filing this report as the state secretariat has drafted police officers to maintain peace and order around the environment.

 

Meanwhile, all efforts made to get reactions from the Commandant of Amotekun Corps in the state, Olayinka Olayanju still maintain utter futility.
