The Barbadian singer famously known has Rihanna is not of Igbo origin, news about such is fake.
Rihanna who was allegedly reported by most of the nigerian newspapers online, said she is not an Igbo in one of the interview he had with The New York Times Style Magazine, about her ancestry late in 2019.
“In my own household, my father is half black, half white. My mom is black from South America. I was seeing diversity. That’s all I knew,” she said.
Her mother, Monica Braithwaite, is Afro-Guyanese, while her father, Ronald Fenty, is of Afro-Barbadian and the British Isles ancestry.
No report of Rihanna’s comment as being an Igbo. She obviously has no known link to the Igbo tribe, in africa.
