Timaya, famous nigerian musician has been arrested by the police in Lagos over alleged hit-and-run in Lekki area of the state.
The musician was arrested yesterday afternoon by operatives of the Maroko Police Division and was investigated for allegedly causing grievous bodily harm to a woman.
Timaya was said to have hit the woman on Wednesday with his vehicle at Ikate, Lekki, and abandoned her to her fate.
It was alleged that the singer had hit the woman’s vehicle and when she came out to confront him, he knocked her down with his vehicle and drove off.
The victim’s sister, who took to social media to decry what the singer did, shared pictures of the victim on her hospital bed with face injuries.
