BRAZEN ATTACK: Man Stabbed to Death at New Year’s Eve in Time’s Square
A man was stabbed multiple times in an altercation in Times Square on Saturday morning as the city prepared for its annual New Year’s Eve celebration, Fox News reported.
According to a spokesperson for the New York Police Department, the victim, a 41-year-old man who is believed to be homeless and has a criminal record with over 25 arrests, got into an altercation with another man he likely knew previously at the corner of 7th Avenue and 40th Street.
The perpetrator, described as a male in his 20s with a possibly dark complexion wearing a black jacket and black pants, fled the scene and has not been arrested.
The altercation is believed to be gang-related and the victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital in serious but stable condition. The incident is not related to the New Year’s Eve celebrations in Times Square.
