The Manufacturer of Freshyo Yogurt, Olam Group has reached out to Mr Mubarak Tukur over the mouldy tetrapack yoghurt.
But the reaching out was just a wink to pressure after PIJAlance story, nothing has been heard from its management since last Saturday.
Last week, PIJAlance reported that Freshyo Yoghurt develops mould before due date.
The report added that it was the second time such would be reported by the PIJAlance, first time which, was in January 2023.
The report came to fore when one X (formerly Twitter) user, Mubarak Tukur, publicly decried the Freshyo Management that his daughter’s tetrapack favourite developed mould before due date. But he discovered this after his daughter had tasted it and found the taste sour.

On Monday, Tukur told PIJAlance the management of Freshyo visited his residence last Saturday to collect the defective piece and the remaining two in the whole pack of the tetrapack yoghurt.
Tukur said the management promised would get back to him though, nothing has been heard since that time.
However, in a similar vein, the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has also commenced a parallel investigation into the matter, Tukur said.
“Over a week ago, @freshyo_ng contacted me and began an investigation, visited my house on Saturday to collect the defective product, and has been keeping me informed throughout the process,” Mr Tukur said.
“Similarly, the @fccpcnigeria has initiated a parallel investigation into this.”
Experts have said mouldy yoghurt is dangerous to health and can cause several hazardous medical conditions, including cholera.
