Abubakar Olawoyin Kwara House Leader Dies, Gov Mourns, APC Suspends Campaign

On Monday, after a brief illness the Kwara State House of Assembly Leader, Hon. Abubakar Olawoyin, was confirmed dead by the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Abdulquadr Yusuf.
It was gathered that Olawoyin was a core member of All Progressive Congress and was representing Ilorin Central Constituency (Mogajin Geri).
The House Leader bite the dust at an hour never foreseen and an hour he will be needed most which makes it terrible loss to the entire house and his party.
Immediately after his death, his burial was scheduled in the Islamic rites to hold at 4 p.m. Magajin Geri family house, Surulere, Ilorin.
The House of Assembly Leader, Abubakar Olawoyin has been, however, buried since Monday.
Kwara State Governor Mourns House Leader that passes on
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the family of Hon. Abubakar Olawoyin and the ninth Kwara State House of Assembly over the death of the House Leader, the communique from the Chief press secretary to Kwara State Government, Rafiu Ajakaye noted.

The Governor, who in the communique described Olawoyin as a grassroots politician, a core party man and a great lawmaker, expressly added that he will be missed.
“I commiserate with the Emir of Ilorin Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, his immediate and extended family, the entire people of Magaji Ngeri/Ilorin Central State Constituency. I especially send our condolences to the House whose Leader Olawoyin was until his death this morning. We will miss in him a grassroots politician, a core party man, and a great lawmaker who truly distinguished himself as the Leader of the 9th House of Assembly,” the Governor had said.
“I pray Almighty Allah, the Oft-Forgiving and the Merciful, to forgive and grant Hon. Olawoyin al-Jannah Firdaus and comfort his family.”
Kwara State APC Suspends Campaign
Upon the demise of its core member, the Kwara State All Progressives Congress has announced the suspension of all outdoors campaign activities for the next one week in honour of the House of Assembly Leader Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin.
A Communique signed by the APC Chairman of Kwara State, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, noted this with the addition that must be followed strictly.
The communique reads:
“We hereby call on all our party organs, candidates and support groups to put a hold to all outdoor campaign rallies and activities for the next seven days until after the Fidau prayer. This is in honour of one of our leaders and brothers, Hon. Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin.
“We pray that Allah will grant Al-Jannah to all our dead, especially the Leader of the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly Hon. Abubakar Magaji Olawoyin.”
