2023: People still hold the power to drive out bad governance — Hon Olufemi
Honourable Olufemi Eniolapo Johnson has said that people still hold the power to drive out bad governance in Nigeria.
Honourable Johnson made this known on a radio programme tagged “Ela Loro” at the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation, station, today.
Honourable who said he had made up his mind to not blame the Government again for their misconducts in the society, rather he would be directing his attentions to the people who own the power to drive in or out any politicians.
Johnson added that he had noticed that youths nowadays are not interested in politics. According to him, this is bad.
He said Politics is meant for everyone and no one should be exempted. He added that even if one leader is voted in and suchlike do not do the electorates’ will then they can call for the removal of such leader in office and allow INEC to conduct a new election. Politics according to him is about the people not about the leaders.
In his words: “I don’t think we have learnt anything about our experience. The meaning of Politics generally is that everyone is participating in the process.
“One person cannot do Politics alone. I will not abuse any Government. When the electorates are serious, I am sure, the Government is going to be better.
“Our forefathers and our fathers have not been so concerned about politics, so most of us are also following their footsteps.
“As a result of that our leaders have understood we don’t want to participate in politics so they zero it that they will not even give us the chance, at all this is why we are here,” Onaolapo said but he is ready to serve his fatherland and represent his people.
